TN/NC BMTA WORK TRIP

BMT Section 15a - Unicoi Gap to Tate Gap and possibly BMT 14b-c TN68 to Unicoi Gap.
In preparation for the Annual Meeting to be held in November at Coker Creek, we will get the BMT
in the area all spiffied up. Everything is recently done from Tate Gap north. So we will meet at
Tellico Grains for breakfast at 8AM or at Unicoi Gap on Joe Brown Highway at 9AM. We will go
north on the trail toward Tate Gap and log out about 7 trees and brush out the trail to Tate Gap
with gas powered brush cutters, loppers, etc. Also we will refresh blazes from the gap north of
Peels Top to Tate Gap along the old horse trail (about a mile of trail). The blazes have already
been refreshed on the three miles south of here to Unicoi Gap. If we have enough workers, we
will log out the BMT from Unicoi Gap to TN68 and will brush this section out as well and refresh
blazes. We plan to eat at Nut'n Fancy in Tellico Plains for supper afterwards. Contact Rick Harris,
