Interested in having your own piece of the BMT? At least to monitor and maintain.
It's very satifying.
Two sweet sections are available in Georgia. The details are below.
I look forward to hearing from you!

Maintenance Sections Available
July 10, 2008
Section 3a (Hwy 60 @ Skeenah Creek to woods road between Wallalah Mountain and
Licklog Mountain; 2.4 miles)
Direct access from Hwy. 60. Section climbs through a "rugged and scenic landscape"
(Tim Homan) using a recent reroute to reach a scenic overlook near the top of Wallalah
Mountain. Then continues over the mountain, via another recent reroute to the gap at
the base of Licklog Mountain where and old woods road crosses perpendicular to the
trail. It's a beauty!
Section 6c (with Stanley Gap Trail; 2.1 miles)
Access from trailhead at Stanley Gap, 0.6 walk along Stanley Gap Trail to reach junction
with BMT. Section passes around the summit of 3,460 foot Rocky Mountain (great lunch
spot at the top!) and has grand winter views of the Rich Mountain Wilderness to the south
and Fowler Mountain-Cohutta Wilderness ridge to the west. Maintenance shared with
Stanley Gap Trail, and a fair amount of traffic, so not super demanding to maintain.
